Halloween

So, sorry about the delay on this one... with the whole election excitement and other stuff going on we haven't been online much. These are the obligatory Halloween pictures.

Isabel began life as a red fairy, which later morphed into a ladybug red fairy in a gown... Collin is speed racer in a helmet that is 6 sizes too big for him - making him look like a white-helmeted Darth Vader. Extra points to anyone who can explain why "Speed Racer" has an "M" on his helmet and a "G" on his shirt. Elliott is a monkey which makes this the 4th year in a row that we have had a child dressed up as a monkey - Collin barely escaped because we are feeling guilty and felt like we had to make it up to him. Also notice the wellspring of hyperactivity.

Grandma came over to spend the weekend with the grand kids and scored the best picture of Elliott. Unfortunately he was so scared by the feather boas that this was the only time he let her hold him that night.

Family Picture

This was the "Trunk or Treat" at our church. Rather than walk the sidewalks at night, we let the kids walk around a parking lot.

Little did he know that mom and dad were to eat all of his candy.

This was the end of the only 15 min that Collin kept the helmet on his head.
This was our Trunk or Treat Machine. Our sweet car that was to senselessly hit a deer on election night the following week. (The deer had less damage than the car and fewer emotional scars than Me and Kevin who were driving)
Collin and Isabel walking through our neighborhood. Isabel got scared off after the first house that had dogs/goblins or sleepy housecats.
Collin on the other hand was so cute. Andrea and I sat back and listened to him talk himself up to the front to knock on the door and ask for candy. "This house has green flashing lights and clouds and I am going to walk up to the door and say trick or treat...."

Isabel found her calling as a distributor of candy. She likes to be in charge of stuff.
