Isabel and Collin loved the sparklers. Notice the coats and sweaters. Yup, 4th of July in Seattle, complete with drizzle and 65 degree weather.
I had fun with the delay settings on the camera.
Since it is perpetually wet here, we are allowed to have all manner of extreme fireworks. Anything short of military artillery is allowed. Our neighborhood put on a show that beat anything we had ever seen in the other major cities where we have lived. What's better is that these are being launched only 5 houses away from us. Make sure you click on the fireworks, the pictures are truly spectacular when seen full size!
And for your moment of Zen, One last picture of Collin's water slide terror. (Click on picture for best effect)

oh what fun! okay.. i didn't know a robman candle was supposed to be held either! i usually stick with the sparklers, but yes.. it was all verboten this year in californie! i know it's probably not right but collin's face in that water slide photo is hysterical! sorry it was cold.. how about we trade some temp to level us out? it's 106 today. if we give you 20 degrees we each get mid-80s. too bad it doesn't work like that :D
We love to play with the fireworks on the 4th of July, but with 24 hours a day light in Alaska, they don't really do much. They sell them again around new years when we have 5 or 6 hours of daylight, it works better, but then it's almost to cold to enjoy it.
