Christmas (Miracle) 2010

I figured I should get our Christmas post finished before Valentine's Day. Ha!

This year we had a Christmas miracle. I say this without an ounce of cheesiness or sarcasm. Our Papa Rick cannot be around sick people because of his weak-to-nonexistent immune system. So here we all were, all five children, six adults...in the wintertime...without one single sniffle or cough for five whole days. We were just able to enjoy being around our Papa and each other. There is nothing better that we could have received for Christmas.

I love having cute babies around the house. Keep'em coming, Lanette and Marshall!

Papa is giving Isabel a lesson on painting with watercolors. The subject: Nemo.

This ginormous snowman deserves a post all its own. It lasted for 3 weeks in the rain!

Who says this treadmill just sits in the corner? Just leave it to Michael to put it to some good use. :D

Grandma always thinks of the fun details like making a gingerbread house together as cousins.

This was our attempt at getting a perfect little picture of Grandma Rosie with all of her great-grandchildren. We have about 20 pictures that all look about like this one. To me, this one is perfect!

Michael's favorite gift was his wolf t-shirt. No, he hasn't changed his sense of style. It is an internet meme, for any of you who might be a bit nervous that he has finally cracked. You must scroll down to the customer reviews to discover the joys of the wolf moon t-shirt.

Elliott's favorite gift was a little box of tic tacs. He at the whole box when I wasn't looking. Blecht! Who put that in his stocking?!

Collin's favorite gift was the Toy Story 3 Lego set. After opening it he promptly sat down until he finished 3 hours later. He meticulously follows each instruction and puts each piece in its proper place. It is amazing to watch. Duplos are so 'last year' for Collin now. :D

Elliott on his new snowmobile.

Papa is assisting Isabel with a little push down the hill. :D

Growing up it was Mom's tradition to take us out sledding after opening Christmas presents. We found a bunny hill at a local park and enjoyed getting out and moving around a bit.
